Web Analytics: An Hour a Day

Two weeks ago, I helped with the Brandcenter's Executive Education program for Brand Managers. It was an inspiring experience and a great networking opportunity. There were quite a few influential speakers and overall, it was a great time. One of the speakers, Avinash Kaushik, stood out as the most compelling and entertaining teachers. Considering his talk was on web analytics, it came as quite a surprise to the group.

Looking back, I wish the Brandcenter offered more practical learning surrounding this topic, but since it didn't, what better way that to learn from Avinash. As a reward for helping out with the program, we received a copy of his book, Web Analytics: An Hour a Day.

My goal is to read this book in its entirety and blog about my experience. Considering I have a very basic understanding of the impact of web analytics, I am excited to take on this challenge. The plan is to write a blog entry after each chapter, highlighting what I learned and important points to take away. Some entries will be longer than others and contain more links, but I hope to document my experience and share my improved learning along the way.

I hope you enjoy. Oh and if I am out of town and unable to write a blog entry, I will hand-write it and type it when I get a chance.
