One more class...

It's hard to believe but I am one class away from completing my two years at the VCU Adcenter/Brandcenter. Sure, I have my portfolio review May 12th, but all I will have to do is compile and edit what work I have previously completed. I had an extremely tough but very gratifying week highlighted by a span of 24 hours where I was at the Brandcenter for 21 of them.

I presented my Path101 Independent Study on Monday. Unfortunately, Charlie's flight was delayed and we had to push back the presentation a couple of hours. With the understanding from my professors, I presented from 1-2. From what I could tell, it went very well. Charlie really appreciated my work and seemed to enjoy the positioning the most. Personally, I think my marketing recommendations were on-brand and strategic...just not really outside of the box. That said, I think in order for his brand to launch successfully, it must be strategic, smart and conservative. Here is the presentation.

Yesterday was my final presentation to Rick Boyko, Brandcenter's Director. My group's brand was Everlast and our recommendations went over extremely well. The class was impressed and entertained and we put on a pretty good show, even with some hiccups with Power Point. I will upload the presentation when I can.

That about sums up my week. Thankfully, I will now be able to focus on the job search as well as putting together a book showcasing my work. It has been a crazy two years but definitely worthwhile. Until I find a job, I will update this blog with my thoughts on the marketing/advertising world as well as updates on my search.
