The transition back has been unforgiving to say the least. I hit the ground running last week and feel like the last six weeks will fly by. A scary thought considering all of the work I have in front of me, but I am excited about it all. I have tried to get a handle on my job search but its a lot of work in it of itself. I mentioned to one of my good friends the amount of work I had and he asked, "Isn't grad school supposed to kick you a** for three semesters and then be a bit relaxed while you search for jobs?" The fact that this is my first time at graduate school and he has never been, I guess it was just a myth. At least with the Brandcenter.
This morning, a small group of Creative Brand Management students attended a Venture Richmond Business Forum. It was my first experience in a venture forum where start-up companies presented their ideas to a group of successful business people. It was exciting but a bit underwhelming with the lack of professionalism displayed in their presentation. My classmate and friend Joe Quattrone said it best, we should all be okay in our careers.
Anyway, the next few weeks is crunch time and I dont know how much I will be able to write. I will try to post once a week to update all three of you on my progress. Thanks for allowing me to share.
