Venting

Uhmpf!

What a ride this semester has been so far. It has by far and away been the most gratifying, worthwhile, stressful, entertaining semester so far and its been less than a month. Working on the Tap Project, my Independent Study - path101.com -, and Spirits of Blue Ridge Vodka would be enough to fill up an entire semester's worth of work. In addition to that though is my normal class schedule. While it may come across like I am complaining, I am trying not to.

This weekend though took its toll on me. It could be the 3 hours of sleep I am going on or the fact that being away from Richmond for 3 days seems like I was gone for 3 weeks. Either way though, I realized that I need to become a better communicator and manage my time with greater attention. The fact that I was so stressed out over the weekend proved that my heart is in it. I think I have realized that I live for this. I live for the expectations, I live for the leadership - but most importantly, I live for the work.

It has taken quite a while, but after 27 years I can honestly say I have found who I am professionally and damn, it feel good. After the weekend away, it has taken the entire day to catch up but after a meeting with Kelly O'Keefe, my independent study supervisor, I have realized that I am in an okay position. I certainly have tons of work to complete but that's ok.

For one of the few times in my graduate school career, I am right where I should be and I have the people at the Brandcenter to thank.
